Day 1 and 2

We met rf and xl at changi airport on 14 may, taking airasia to KL. However, our flight delayed by 20 minutes and rf was super worried!! Cos we have to catch flight at KL. We still made it in time at KL airport, met the rest of them and boarded the plane to London Stansted airport. The plane wasnt that bad though its a budget flight, but somehow it was difficult to fall asleep on the plane. We reached London Stansted at 12 midnight and stayed overnight at the airport till we could catch the 5am bus to central London! Hm there were some super loud europeans at the airport who are such a nuisance, took a picture of us without our permission. But besides that everything was quite good at the airport, I even slept deeply for an hour on the stone cold floor. Hm what an experience

Alf trying to sleep at the airport.

We boarded the comfy bus at 5am and set off to Victoria Station to take a train. But how can we forget to take pictures of the old and pretty station first!

Me and SH trying to imitate the "Wicked" poster behind us. Hm, flop~~~We then took the underground to our hostel, which is at West Kensington. The train system is quite confusing in London! But lucky mr tam is around, who is very trained in navigating the train system after the experience in US and Japan! Upon reaching West Kensington, we started walking towards our hostel. We were so happy to walk along a street filled with English house.. And here is our hotel! It is 4 English house connected together...The hostel is super nice. With all right of us staying in a room, it was still very spacious with our own lockers and private bathroom. There were also many shared toilets and bathrooms outside our room, which was very convenient. The view was also superb, down the row of peaceful English house. After depositing all our heavy backpacks, we started to make our way down to see the big ben, london eye, westminister abbey and buckingham palace. Just a quick update, at the time we did so much, it was only 8am. But yet we still think that we are rushing for time, so we walked around quickly but still took many pictures. At Buckingham palace Our first jumpshot, at an anonymous statue between Westminister Abbey and the Big Ben.

Westminister Abbey, which we didn go in.Some Cathedral we pass by which we cannot go in. A park we pass by while walking to buckingham palace. One beautiful thing about England is that you can sit on their grass patch without fear of dog urine. The dog owners are rather responsible. We could also see the London eye from the park! Some statue beside Buckingham palace. But we have to go one big round before we could find a traffic light to go to the buckingham palace. But yet we are still super early for the changing guards ceremoney, so we turn to the victoria station for some lunch! We had some sandwiches which are cheap but quite delicious.Thr changing guards ceremony, which I must say quite boring. It may be because we have been awake for more than 7 hours. After the ceremony ended we started walking again, i cannot remember properly where but should be to some art museum. But it was so super boring that me and rf decided to leave and see if we could get any musical tickets at a discount at TKTS. But there were no les mis ticket at a discount! Hm so we decided to go oxford street to shop. We wanted to take a bus there, but a smart alec police told us to walk all the way, thus we landed up on the wrong side of oxford street, only going to dorothy perkins. After walking for so long, we finally sat down to have a meal, at MAC! After the meal, we walk walk walk again to China town, where my friend recommended this Chinese restaurant which sells good roast ducks. But it was still early and the others are not back from meeting their friend yet so we went to sit down on the grass again, super relaxing~~~
AFter dinner, the sky was as bright as like 5pm though its already 8pm. We went back to the hotel and every one was knocked out.
The other parts will come later. I take 3 hours just to type a simple post like this!!

Back from London and Paris!

Woops looks like my blog has been stagnant for quite a while! Anyway here I am, finished my last exams, went to london and paris and back again! The london and paris trip was loads of fun with the other seven people (yeap you hear right, the whole travelling gang is eight man strong!) and although it was just a week, we went to loads of places and ate a lot too. London is definitely a beautiful place to be at, while Paris, was well, artistic. And we walked. a. lot. Imagine climbing 700 steps on the first day in Paris.
Climb 400 steps on the second day on the Notre Dame. And God Knows how many steps we climbed on the same night up what I know as "凯旋门".Hm, remind me of the Napoleon in Night at the Museum 2. Shortie. We also done many jump shots. Compare mine:to Alf:

Hm. And we ate a lot, slept a lot, buy a lot. Best thing is, most of us came back with money left!!

Day by day review of my trip follows, for the benefits of my friends and family. Beware of a galore of pictures! Hm I usually dun take many pics, but because there are quite a number of camera ready people in the group, the combined photo album has almost 2000 pics. Divide by 7 days, thats like almost 300 pics a day!!

And today after I met up with the girls to combined the pictures, rf and I went to catch Night at the Museum 2. It wasnt as good as the first one, because the new pharaoh is a very long-winded guy. I am more amused by rf who covered her eyes during the show, same action as when she watched "第一诫", a horror show.

Stay tuned for pics and my itenary!

Four more days to the end of NUS

I just went through a three hour essay paper today. All I remembered was that the two people surrounding me kept growling, and I was so proud that I didnt. Thats what NUS exams do to you.

After that my friends and I felt so relieved that we said:"we are graduating!"

Yup thats right, yours truly will be going to school for the last time in 4 days time. There goes 16 years of education. 16 years.

Do you know what schools I went to? From Red Swastika School in Bedok, to Dunman High School in Kallang, to Hwa Chong Junior College in Bukit Timah, lastly NUS at Clementi.

I never never never liked studying. Right when I was in primary school, I hid my results from my parents. The joy I had then was from my classmates and my CCA. I guess I am always a CCA person, in primmary school I went to school everyday for netball, maths club, swimming, chinese dance(quitted after a while), drama club and guzheng. Out of which I spent the most time on netball, drama and guzheng. Especially drama, I went for so many competitions that staying in school was the norm. After that somehow I managed to squeeze into Dunman High. I also hated studying then, having failed one of my science finals. But then again, I am very involved in my CCA. Then just right squeeze into Hwa Chong, hated studying the most then. Econs drove me nuts, maths made my cry, and GP made me give up. But then, I am glad LEP saved my life. Even till now, I could never forget the times when I was immersed in all the Chinese Literature and surrounded by people who are so passionate about it. I was in Chinese Dance too, also something which drove me crazy and made me cry. But luckily I met the few of them, who made all the efforts we put in worthwhile.

And guess what.. although I always said that accountancy was not my first choice, I enjoyed studying in NUS. Going to lectures, rushing to tuition, rushing to dance, going back home and doing my tutorials was pretty enjoyable. Marketing, MNO was not really enjoyable, but when I did the exam, I truly felt that it was quite fun. And all the accounting modules where we keep haning out int he same clique and seeing all the same classmates was the kind of environment I liked. Just a few weeks ago, our project schedule almost drove the whole accountancy clique nuts. But now time passes so fast that hardly anyone of us could believe it. And amidst all the studying was dancing. But I am sure you have heard enough about it in all my other posts. And also spending time with mr tam in school.

Just as I start enjoying studying, this has come to an end. Sigh.

Juniors, please enjoy the rest of uni days. All the projects may drive you nuts, all the studying may not agree with you, but it is easily the best days of your life, just like how it has been for me.

Debbie will miss school too. Along with all the torture from my friends.
