Happy ox year!!
I just went back to DHS today with my sis to visit the other teachers. Its so amazing to see so many of my teachers who are still there and havent changed a bit, like Mdm Loh Quee Yah, Mdm Loo Chou Moi, Mr Kiw, Miss Wong (Yes! My physics teacher!), Miss Ling, Miss Tang... but I just cant seemed to remember who taught me geog in sec 4, I only remember she is a super good teacher...and didnt find Miss Tan Jen Fee as well... but in the end I did go and find my LEP teacher from HC who is now the HOD of BSP in dunman... so good to see him cos he has always been like a friend rather than a teacher... the glorious days of basking in chinese books and his "人血饅頭”. I am glad that he is happy where he is and he is able to make an impact on more people than before. He brought me to the new LEP room and gosh, the room is so so nice!!! Much nicer than our LEP room in HC, the seats are like those u see in tea houses, super amazing! Hai, pity I was born so early, but oh well, DHS was good back then too!
It feels good to go back to dunman. Despite it having 3/2 of the noise before (cos there is 6 years of students there instead of 4), everything looked pretty much the same and it just had a feeling like home. Teachers are friendly, everyone seem to know everyone, u turn to a corner and u meet someone u know (unlike THE school which is so big that it is so difficult even if u want to find somebody), the round garden which is always there and u seldom see such nice green pastures in Singapore anymore, school attendants and lab helpers who also have been there for years, and now with the addition of my teacher from HC, all the more DHS seemed like home now!
Sigh, time flew by so fast that I cant believe that I am going to graduate in half a years time. It seemed like yesterday that I was on my first day to DHS and my mum accompanied me to take bus 30 to school, reminding me which bus stop to look out for. It was the first time I ventured out of Bedok on my own. The first time that I went for CDS open house, the first time I step foot into dance, so many many wonderful things that I have experienced and learnt from DHS. So much so that I am always confident because of the fact that I came from DHS. We received quality education and had fantastic discipline ( in my time). We are so close to all our friends that we almost know all our batch people by names.
Its wonderful to relive your sec school memories once in a while, times that u played hard and study hard with hardly any worries in life.
Oh, and one more thing, the new revamped canteen now has jap, korean and western food. Lucky dunmanians.

I miss DHS badly too. Wondering if I should venture out of my comfort zone and try for DHS.
Aww... u made me think of my fantastic Dunman days too... I miss Guixia... n all my dance mates, and Wang Lao Shi. And... so many things.
Most of all, I missed that feeling of happiness, that feeling that I can hold up the world with my hands and nothing will ever get me down. I love DHS.
To Merllie:
Hey I think u should try. RIght now I think they are very keen in attracting young talents. Go try out lar! and I think their bilingual program is quite cool.
To Wan Hui:
I agree with u on the part that we can hold up the world with your hands and nothing will ever get us down. In fact at that point of time, it seem as if the world will never fall. Sigh those were the days.
I just went back to DHS yesterday! It's a nice place.
Saw the Chinese Dance girls practising. They look mighty young and thin!
